Diary Of An Oxygen Tussle – Book Review
“Dear diary of a Young Girl” by An XYZ Girl is a love story between two teenagers, Autumn Rose and Jane Whelan. The author’s name is Amber Lyme and this is an adult book that contains strong language and scenes that are mature in nature. Although it is based on a true story, the author has made a number of concessions to keep her story light and fun.
When we read Diary of a Young Girl, we know that there is a terrible tragedy that befell Autumn and Jane at the beginning of the story. They were only six years old when their parents died and they never saw their father again. Their friend Peter came to live with them and became their new parent. Their friendship and care for each other lasted but a short time and then their friendship was replaced by hate and anger.
There is an undertone to the actions and words of the adults in this diary
They seem to take this as a normal part of growing up for the girl and for the boy, their new partner in life. Theirs was a story of a loss, and now their story, their togetherness, will go on.
It is obvious from the title of the diary that “Dear Diary” is written by an adult female, probably an older student. Her vocabulary is not as rich as those of a young girl and she has learned not to express her feelings too soon or to seek sympathy too quickly. This is not surprising because she was probably always young. However, she seems to have matured somewhat in this book.
The diary was discovered by her father when he was going through some old photographs
It is only in the diary that he found out about her marriage and that she was having a baby. This was not a happy discovery for him. He loved his daughter very much and he wanted to save what he possibly could for her so he decided to write to this unknown girl, asking for her forgiveness.
What a touching diary this is. So much is revealed by the actions of the writer of the diary. As she reveals so much about herself and how her love for her child has faded, we are also made to feel her agony as her child would not understand. She is looking for a way to express her grief but she knows she cannot cry in public.
A young man, Robert, came to offer support to this poor girl
Robert had come across this young lady when he was staying with his aunt and was staying with her on and off for a month. He did not know she was a wife and yet he felt drawn into her embrace. As they began to see each other’s features and read the words in the diary, they began loving each other.
All this and so much more is revealed in the diary of Oxygen Thiefbook Revella. It is a moving story of hope and courage as the young woman comes to terms with her life and her love for Robert. In many ways, this is a coming of age story as the young woman comes of age and is ready to marry. There are so many emotions flowing throughout this diary and it is often difficult to be separate from the characters in the diary. The reader gets to know Robert as she knows Robert. It is a coming of age story that the reader will not soon forget.
