Diary of a Wimpy Kid
“Do you have a diary of a wimpy kid?” I asked. “Yes,” said my husband, Mark. “What’s his name?” I asked.
“Readymade blank diaries of kids, like mine, can be found online. They are usually called Manny diaries or oxygen thieves. You can buy them from just about any office supply store or stationery store.” (I’ve used one since college – they’re great for college students and grownups alike!)
“Why should I get one?” I asked. “It’s good practice. Kids don’t write about their daily experiences in books so it’s good practice to get one to remind you how your child is feeling when he’s upset.”
“So why do we need a diary of a wimpy kid?” my son asked. “So you can keep track of what’s going on when you’re not home.” “You mean to tell me that you’re keeping your sister away from the computer and her friends?” “No, you’re just giving me a way to remember,” said my husband. “And your diary won’t be so blank.”
“Blank diary of a wimpy kid” has been very helpful to my sons’ everyday activities. Our daughter keeps it and we keep it. And our son read it when he felt like studying something and he really likes to work on his drawing and painting.
So, I thought why not get another blank diary for my own? I do have one at home now. It’s a smaller size, more like a post-its, which I put on my desk. I’ve been using it for a couple of years and it hasn’t shown any signs of wear.
The other diary is kept at our daughter’s room
She keeps her entries in a different journal than mine is. So, that diary is more like a journal for her to keep notes and events regarding her day at school. She also wrote some entries in it when she went shopping with one of her friends. I was glad she did that because her friend’s entry had nothing to do with her but I think my diary helped her a lot to remember some details.
The point I am trying to make here is that you can find a blank diary for kids. You can choose the one that suits your child best. You may have to buy a slightly larger size, so it will fit him/her better. But you should always keep in mind that kids love writing in a new place, a fresh new one, a diary of their own.
Blank diaries for kids are usually pink in color, although some come in other colors or with cute themes. For example, one of them I saw had a princess theme, and it was really cute. Some of them have animals or patterns on them. One even had a cowboy-type design.
Some of these are bound into a leather bound book
I know that my daughter still uses it, even when she’s an adult now. But I guess that’s what makes them special. They are cute and fun. And your kid will love sitting down in front of it and writing all day long in it. It will serve as his/her very own diary.
What can I say about diary of a wimpy kid? There are no rules. Your kid can write whatever he/she wants in it. Most of these diaries for kids can be personalized with names, addresses, special messages and even photos.
These kinds of diary for kids are really popular nowadays
There are lots of online stores that sell them. You can also buy them directly from factory outlets. They cost a bit more than the usual diary you would find in the shops, but hey–it’s your kid, so why not go all out.
My daughter has her very own diary of a wimpy kid that she started when she was three. She has written in it ever since. I think she’s eleven now. She loves it so much that I won’t let her stop using it.
